As Perth’s leading environmental education company, they are bringing their interactive and hands-on display to you. They are offering interactive displays, opportunities to get hands-on with critters and multiple wildlife presentations held throughout the day.
The LiveLighter Mullewa Gift is a professional running event that began in 1926. It is the highest value athletic event on the regional calendar with a total prize pool of $7,500. In 2013 the event won the WCAL “Meeting of the Year”. The event comprises four professional races (120m Gift, 70m Sprint, 550m Race and 120m Novice), and six Junior races
The Midwest’s largest Quick Shear event with Open, Learners & Team events. $5000 Total Prize Money with and open 1st Prize of $2000! Starts @ 2.30pm. Entry fees are $35 Open & Learners ($30 Team). There are hundreds of exhibits, filling a basketball stadium, competing for the honour of ‘Best in Show’. Competitions include Poultry, Grain, Vegetables & Fruit, Flowers, Cooking, Farm Produce & Preserves, Art, Crafts and Children’s sections.
All your favourite side show alley rides and games will be at Mullewa Show thanks to the WA Showmen’s Association. From laughing clowns to dodgem cars, side show alley is always alive!
The annual Art Sale will be conducted from 12pm to 3 pm with artwork on display in the Exhibition Hall from midday. This is your chance to find a unique piece from an artist with a connection to the Midwest.
It wouldn’t be an Agricultural Show without an opportunity to get up close with some farm animals. The Baby Animals will be at the Mullewa Show for children of all ages to pat and feed. This is a free activity.
Each year a variety of small, home-based, life-style and trade stalls attend the Mullewa Show with their produce. These include food stalls, school displays, show bags, fairy floss, Machinery dealers etc.
Don’t go home too early! Enjoy a drink and good company at the bar or a quick meal from a Food Truck or the Sports Club while you wait for darkness. The grand finale of the day is the Fireworks display starting at 7.30pm.
